I'm sorry, we seem to keep missing each other-- that is, if you've been home at all. I just want to let you know we've only a cup or so of milk left and I'm about to offer it to a stray cat, so groceries have to be bought.
I also think we you we should probably send flowers for Mr McKinnon. Lilies are traditional. As for a sympathy note, I've already written four drafts of it.

It's cliche, but this week seems like the calm before the storm, if you'll pardon my saying so. I mean, after Cuffe, after "Lexi," you'd expect something to happen. Not that I would want something to happen! Never tickle a sleeping dragon, after all. We've got one of them, at least, yes?
I've had a lot of down time around my patrols, and I've been reading quite a bit. There's something I just can't seem to get out of my head, however, some poem that's not even in my library stack. He who shall teach the child to doubt
